About

PhD Researcher, Cardiff University | AI for Health Equity

I am a PhD Researcher at Cardiff University (Cardiff Business School, CARBS-funded), working on “Reducing Health Screening Inequalities in Wales: AI-Driven Forecasting and Resource Optimisation for Underserved Communities”, supervised by Prof. Bahman Rostami-Tabar and Prof. Paul Harper. My research combines spatio-temporal graph neural networks, fairness-aware machine learning, discrete-event simulation, and qualitative social science to help health services plan more equitably.

Before starting this PhD, I earned an MSc in Computer Science (Distinction) from Manchester Metropolitan University, with a dissertation on “deep learning-based cross-domain facial expression recognition”. My earlier work on multimodal learning, affective computing, and human-centered AI now feeds into how I approach building fair, well-calibrated, and socially responsible AI systems for healthcare.
